Revs sign Gambia U-20 midfielder Mansally

09/06/2007 - Foxborough, MA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - New England signed Abdoulie Mansally, a member of Gambia's Under-20 World Cup team, on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mansally, a midfielder, is the second member of Gambia's U-20 team to sign with the Revolution. Sainey Nyassi signed with New England last week.

"We're pleased to see Abdoulie join our squad," Revolution Director of Soccer Michael Burns said. "We believe both he and Sainey played extremely well in this summers U-20 World Cup and we're thrilled to add two young exciting players to our roster."

Gambia advanced to the knockout stage of the U-20 World Cup. Mansally had the game-winning goal in a win over Portugal that sent Gambia to the round of 16. He played in all four of Gambia's games, starting three.

Mansally will fill a youth international spot on New England's roster.
